Here, the general objectives (GO) and the specific objectives (SO) of idrECO are presented below. For each objective the leading SP and corresponding IP are identified.
SO1.1 Having a management handbook ready in the first months of the project.
SO1.2 Generating an atmosphere of collaboration and improvement to ensure that research and innovation tasks are well aligned with their objectives.
SO1.3 Delivering reports and project’s outcomes within schedule and with high quality.
SO2.1 Generating effective mechanisms for improving acceptance, social awareness, and willingness of end users to participate in RECs.
SO2.2 Defining a key acceptance indexes (KAI) scale to identify acceptance factors of RECs, including ecological, societal, technological, and economical aspects.
SO2.3 Creating an upskilling and reskilling training program, centred on the digitalization of energy and covering needs of local ecosystems around RECs.
SO3.1 Enabling efficient organization (e.g., further contractual agreements, billing, etc.) and design of novel business models that make appealing the participation of RECs in local markets.
SO3.2 Developing and implementing a hierarchical electricity market simulator for trading innovative energy and capacity products as well as services. Drivers and rules beyond marginal pricing, which can steer the transactions within the energy communities, will be identified and explored.
SO3.3 Facilitating further research and new market opportunities towards a consumercentric energy system based on energy communities, aligned with European relevant initiatives, and developing a set of optimization-based tools for the provision of products and services for RECs.
SO4.1 Creating an idrECO’s independent and free available online communityoriented data sharing interoperable digital platform (offering a vital baseline functionality: connect parties, basic contractual agreements, consent management, data sharing, and processing).
SO4.2 Enabling data-driven energy transactions via DLTs, smart contracts, and green cryptotokens, increasing transaction security, transparency, and privacy.
SO4.3 Incorporating explainable artificial intelligence into new market architectures and business models for RECs.
SO5.1 Defining the rating and specifications for the REC-BESS to be installed in the idrECO pilots.
SO5.2 Generating experimental results from a 100 kW REC-BESS prototype with advanced services to gain practical knowledge and to contrast the performance of commercial BESSs offered by manufacturers.
SO5.3 Having a REC-BESS fully integrated in the EFLEXDIM digital platform developed in the project.
SO6.1 Having fully functional models for power grids and system agents.
SO6.2 Connecting the REC-DT to the EFLEXDIM platform.
SO6.3 Integrating the physical assets of the idrECO project pilots in the REC-DT.
SO7.1 Achieving a coordinated deployment of the 4 pilots being developed in the idrECO project, being all fully functional on the planned dates.
SO7.2 Having a fully functional integration of the 4 dispersed pilots in the REC-DT environment and in the EFLXDIM platform of the idrECO project.
SO7.3 Generating a valuable dataset from monitoring of the operation of the 4 pilots integrated in the REC-DT and obtaining significant conclusions from their analysis.
SO8.1 Generating conclusive results to evaluate social acceptance indexes for the REC-oriented solutions validated in the idrECO’s pilots.
SO8.2 Obtaining significant conclusions about the replicability of the REC solutions developed in the project from the Replication Multiplier implemented in the REC-DT under different operating conditions and socioeconomic scenarios.
SO8.3 Generating a roadmap on the scalability and replicability of the idrECO’s key exploitable results for RECs, including a set of special indicators to assess processes, outcomes and impacts, considering both Spanish and EU regulatory aspects.
SO9.1 Having a Dissemination and Communication Plan ready in the first months of the project.
SO9.2 Obtaining high and positive engagement in social media from the socially aware advertisement of idrECO.
SO9.3 Creating exploitation and sustainability avenues for idrECO’s novel business cases and AI and optimization related products for all stakeholders.
